Although there are several watch faces, I feel the lack of support for custom watch face is a missed opportunity. Hope it gets better at later stages with further updates.3. Heart Rate Tracking: I feel it is okayish but definitely not accurate to the point. But then everyone can have their opinion.2. Yes, it is expensive than the other fitness bands but considering it is cheaper than the international market and overall brand value associated with this device, I feel the price to be just fine. Battery life seems to be adequate although can't comment much without months of usage. How about some Cons:1. Data is the biggest weapon in this new era which needs to safeguarded at all cost.7. As explained above, being a non-Chinese software is a Big Win for Indian customers as u never know when things take a turn for the worse. Now I don't see over counting of steps.6. Step tracking was inaccurate at first (when I received the band) but after a week or so, I received an OTA update and tracking was fixed. Trust me it is very frustrating at that time.5. On My Mi Band, I missed this feature the most because there are times when you have walked a long road, and u forgot to turn on the tracking. Auto tracking of running and walking is a BIG BIG PLUS which is missing from the competition and this itself sets the band apart. Overall the UI is much cleaner and faster on Samsung fitness bands as compared to Mi.4. The benefit is that these can be accessed even during workouts which is something missing from Mi Bands (all generation). This helps to quickly access common settings such as brightness, DND, Music player and many more. Samsung UI has a notification shade like panel which you access by swiping down from any screen. The UI on the watch is intuitive and user friendly, unlike Chinese counterparts. I took 3 naps in a day and was surprised that each nap was tracked accurately to the point. Sleep tracking is accurate and even tracks naps during the day. Display is as brilliant as it can get with sufficient 450 nits of brightness which is very well visible under direct sunlight.2. I hope this clarifies your doubt and helps you with your purchasing decision. Now coming to the device itself:Let's start with Pros:1. That, in my opinion, is much more of an issue than the hardware itself.Hence this is where Samsung wins being a Korean based company and having servers in India itself. Worse, the Chinese govt has a clause where at any point they can ask for the user's data, and China-based companies are compelled to give this data. At least you pay for the hardware, and that's the done deal. But when it comes down to software, you actually are the product where you are constantly uploading your private sensitive data on their servers which can be used by the brand. You need to understand that Chinese hardware is not as harmful as its software. Alright so probably you are now disappointed but hold down your frustration for a moment. Charging is also fairly simple process.Overall I'm happy with the purchase and increasing the original four star rating to five.1st November 2020 - Update: I bought this on 18th October, probably one of the early recipients of the band in India but waited for more than 14 days to get my review because as usual, I didn't want to rush it for the sake of likes and views.Anyways let's address the elephant in the room:Yes, this device is Made in China. With high usage I get around 12-14 days and with moderate usage, easily hit 21 days. Samsung did added some new watch faces though. Finally, battery is a big plus. Im happy to report that with updates, the heart rate tracking is very very accurate and at par with any leading fitness bands. Also No Custom watch faces and i dont see the possibility of happening it at all. The band that gets the basics right and much more.ĥth April 2021 - Final Update:Heart Rate tracking I mentioned was okayish and I wrote it in Cons section.
